WELCOME BY THE HEADMASTER OF THE SCHOOL
Erasmus+: one European project, created, developed and supported by the European Community and by the National Scholarship Foundation of Greece at the local - regional level (National Agency).
Since last year, September 2018, our school (Gymnasium of Keramoti) has started its participation in the two-year European Erasmus + program, Action KA229- Partnerships of exchange between schools and entitled “After-School Clubs to Increase Motivation and Prevent Dropout”, along with four other European: the coordinating school of the project “Szkola Podstawowa im. K. Makuszynskiego w Pacanowie” of Pacanow in Poland, “Utenos Vyturiu progimnazija” of Utena in Lithuania, “Osnovno U4ilishte Geo Milev” of Grohotno Village in Bulgaria and “Yavuz Selim Ortaokulu” of Adana in Turkey .
The objectives of this two-year project were:
Transferring knowledge and experience from one partner to another as well as developing a joint response plan on the issue of early school leaving
Improving and further delivering out-of-school activities in schools
Encouragement and development student's creativity
The acquisition of basic skills for the 21st century student - ICT, digital competence, communication, teamwork, social skills
Opportunities for students to reach the world, to create new ties and to open their minds in different fields
Innovation, cooperation, experience, the exchange of ideas and views, and solidarity among the people of Europe.
Knowledge of the culture and the national language of the participating students. The similarities and differences of the children who will communicate and work together and the friendship ties that will emerge through common activities and practices.
Finally, we believe that the cultivation of creativity, critical thinking, imagination and emotion are tools that are most indispensable for the creation of the integrated personality and their further development, to European active citizens.
Let us stress that the ambitious goal of the program is always and for all of us to change the attitudes and views of children on issues of multicultural respect and solidarity.
School is changing today. Borders are abolished. Student and teacher opportunities are emerging more clearly than ever before.
We are here to open our borders to everyone and to show this unique celebration as a platform for implementing this program.

From Turkey: Mr Ercan Gulkesen, Mr Sedat Kose, Mr Kadir Dokur and students Şilan Altun, Batuhan Kalkan, Bedriye Kara, Belinay Burcu Keklik, Elif Nur Ertekin and Emre Gulkesen
We would like to thank Ms Sylwia Wożniczka, who is the key person for the existence and implementation of this project.
For a whole week, we hope to color our lives with new experiences and share the diversity.
